Aliya VanTuinen is a professional dancer, educator, and coach with over 22 years of training. Currently a member of the Grand Rapids Gold Dance Team, she brings elite performance experience and a strong foundation in classical and contemporary technique to every class.
My Story
Aliya VanTuinen has been dancing for over 22 years and is currently a member of the Grand Rapids Gold Dance Team. Her professional experience includes training and performance opportunities through NFL and NBA dance programs, including clinics with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Miami Dolphins, and Arizona Cardinals.

Aliya previously danced on the Western Michigan University Dance Team, where she served as team captain her senior year. Her classical training includes summer intensives with American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, and Orlando Ballet.

For the past five years, Aliya has coached and directed the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) program at Ballet Kalamazoo, mentoring dancers in both technical excellence and artistic growth. With a strong foundation in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and performance-based styles, Aliya is passionate about inspiring her students to grow in confidence, discipline, and creativity.
